It’s obvious that something is going on between Beckett and Castle, but Beckett knows that something is wrong when Castle is pulling back. Lanie finally pulls it out of Beckett that she is crazy about Castle and says she should tell him so. However, Beckett knows they have a murder to work on and can’t be focusing on anything else. Lanie tells her that is always the case, but there are bigger problems at hand since Castle just returned from a rendezvous in Vegas with a gorgeous flight attendant.
The show flashes back to a dead woman lying on a bed inside a hotel room. An unknown man takes something from inside her jacket, gives her a kiss on the cheek, and then leaves passing a chamber maid on his way out.
Back to the present, it is revealed that the young woman found dead was Naomi Allen, a young British model that had been booking gigs with extremely rich men. The last event she attended was a huge party for the launch of a new album. Beckett is convinced this is where she met the person who murdered her.
The forensic people are all over it trying to pick up any shred of evidence that may help zero in on the killer. They find a fingerprint while dusting for prints at the victim’s apartment, a match with the prime suspect. As luck would have it, Beckett runs upon the man just getting out of the shower at a hotel room. She immediately springs into action, ordering him to stick his hands in the air, when his towel drops to the floor. Castle tries to keep Beckett from seeing as he quickly covers her eyes, but she was determined to cop a peek at the good-looking naked suspect. She recognizes him as Detective Hunt from Scotland Yard.
Seems there was a childhood tie between the victim, Naomi Allen, and Colin Hunt as her dad just happened to be his first partner on the force. He is the person who found and took the key from the lining of her jacket as it was some sort of message to him concerning her murder. Officer Hunt is allowed to work with Beckett on the case. Meanwhile, Castle has a lunch date with his pretty new fling, the flight attendant. He skips out on an interview of a female rapper who got into an argument with the victim at the party over the singer accusing Naomi of moving in on her manager, Biggie Slim.
According to Biggie Slim, Naomi had said that she was followed to the party by someone. The murderer left a partial print on Naomi’s neck, but Lanie said they need a full print to get a match. The key that Hunt holds is found to belong to a gym locker and they locate a photo of a person of interest. He is Nigel Wyndham, causing the case to go international and making it hard to get a print. Castle wants to repel a building with a Romanian gymnast, but Beckett and Hunt will crash a party at the British Consulate instead. Castle notices his partner with Detective Hunt as they leave the station. See the next episode on ABC Monday 10/9c.
