ROFL with the ABC Hit “Modern Family”

Everyone loves the rib-crushing laughs from the ABC hit and award winning “Modern Family.” Winner of Outstanding Comedy Series for two years in a row and eleven Emmy Awards, the humor just keeps on rolling throughout season three. It’s hilarious!

The latest episode, “Send Out the Clowns,” is no different as it brings down the house in a scene where reality sets in when a clown dies. Cameron, in his normal Fizbo outfit, goes to the funeral of his mentor. Although strange to see so many white-faced harlequins in sad mode, Cam’s clown partner from sometime before, Lewis, was able to handle it. Lewis remains bitter over Cam dismantling the team.

The two decide to bury the hatchet as they finally make up over some drinks. They both know that they always made the funniest clown team ever.  It’s precisely why they decided to get another gig together for a kiddie party. While it only supposed to be a one time event, Lewis was not aware of that fact and he beats Cameron with a frying pan at the show filling the kids with laughter.  It wasn’t funny to Cam.

Meanwhile, Phil is about to get one of the biggest real estate listings of his career when Mitzi Roth shows up to ruin it all for him. Mitzi is the anything but honest real estate agent that does not have a single moral or ethical bone in her body. She spends all her  effort trying to scam clients from other realtors who follow the guidelines given them.  Since the shark sets out to steal Phil’s listing, she leaves him without any option other than to fight back dirty.

Phil approaches Luke about borrowing his spy pen so that he can record a confession from Mitzi. He thought his plan was working as she admitted to her evil ways offering Phil a big hug. However, Phil soon realizes that even her hug was a deceiving embrace, a ploy to get her hands on the spy pen. While Mitzi usually manipulates in her own evil ways to get what she wants, she is no match for Dunphy.

While doing some shopping, Luck runs upon Mitzi in the grocery store and let’s her know he is extremely worried about his dad’s financial situation. When Phil sees that his son is engaging in conversation with evil Mitzi, he quickly pulls him away from her. Later that day, Mitzi shows up at Phil’s to tell him that she is giving back the listing that was rightfully his anyway. As humor would have it, the last laugh was on Mitzi when Phil staged the whole scene down at the supermarket to try to dig out a sensitive side of Mitzi, if there was one. Brilliant was what the ploy was!

The show now moves to one of the coolest guys at school, Griffin, coming over to spend some time with Manny. Jay is convinced it is because the guy saw him on his motorcycle and Griffin is really coming over to be around him, not Manny.  Seems Jay almost hit the nail on the head.  While he was not coming over to see Manny, he wasn’t exactly coming to spend time with Jay either.  It looks like he is sweet on Gloria and invites the whole family over to his house for a pool party.

When Manny overhears Jay and Gloria talking, he realizes that Griffin is only using him because he has the hots for his mom. On the other hand, Manny is using Griffin to get close to his sister. The family is off to a pool party. Don’t miss another episode.  Tune in to ABC on Wednesday 9/8c and join in the fun with “Modern Family.”
